Turn it off and the tears may come.
Turn it off and silence is deafening and the ears, upon finding nothing outside, seek inside for the sound. Just to hear something. And they do.
Turn if off and you might not like what you hear.
Especially if you've been turning it on constantly lately, drowning it out.
The soul whispers, the conscience whispers, the hurt feelings whisper, the words gone unheard whisper whilst they are drowned out, shouted over, ignored and denied.
Meanwhile the light of that screen is chosen.
Others' light, others' words, others' feelings, others' creativity, others' thoughts, others' noise were paid attention to instead.
Those whispers begin shouting, to compete with it all.
More quotes, more pretty photos, another blog post, another life enhancing article (at least it would be if you gave any time to living - to putting that great stuff into practice).
Turn it off and cry.
Turn it off and listen.
Look at your own light awhile. Discover your own words, feel your own feelings, discover your creativity, explore your thoughts, listen to your own beautiful noise.
That noise which softens once it has been given some attention.
Turn it off and allow it to breathe.
And breathe. Deeply. Slowly.
Turn it off and you might not like what appears in the absence of all that audio and visual graffiti; that distraction that does nothing to truly calm the soul and bring peace.
But what is crying or hurting or tender, is what wants change ~ some form of transformation. And transformation is what we long for. Growth. Evolution. Stepping into ourselves more and more. and more.
Keep it switched on and nothing will change.
Your heart and soul's whispers simply begin to shout, louder and louder until they get your attention, until they feel heard.
So turn it off and let it Be.
Turn it off and feel, my love.
Turn it off and ask in there "What do you want?"
"What do you need?"
"What are you not getting or feeling right now?"
Be bold my beauty.
Dare to go there.
It's the starting blocks for the road of awesome.
Not TO awesome. The path itself. It's beauty-filled, and delightful, and surprising, and shocking at times, and occasionally feels 'hard', but it is the road, the path, with more passion, joy, peace and love than any other route you might choose to take.
Turn it off.
